To start, this was an amazing meal and is tied with the Moussaka for my favorite national dish so far. This is one you are going to want to make for yourself.
Looking at the ingredient list for Keshi Yena, you would have no idea what to expect in terms of flavor. There are some crazy ingredients in here
- Pickles
- Capers
- Green Olives
- Raisins
- Cashews
- Gouda Cheese
You don’t see those ingredients together all that often, if ever.
The end result was amazing, wonderfully delicious and very filling. The Gouda Cheese slices really elevated the dish to something special. I would say the flavor was similar to a cheeseburger but yet had a nice chicken undertone.
All I can say is make this dish, recipe is availableĀ here.
